Addi, a desperate seventeen-year old runaway seeking a new life, finds herself entangled in the dazzling allure of esteemed entertainment venue House of Nightshade. Amongst the burlesque performances, eclectic co-workers and martinis, she discovers a new sense of freedom. However, when a chilling scream pierces the morning air, the veil of glamour lifts to reveal a lifeless body and the shadows of the old house become a maze of suspicion as everyone has become a suspect overnight — herself included. As Addi races to unravel the mystery, clear her name and save her newfound life, she is plunged into a web of secrets that will test her and make her question everyone around her.
